  I commute 160 miles almost every day, and I needed winter tyres that would handle both the motorway and country roads. I read the reviews and compared a bunch of options and decided on these. I have not been let down. These tyres have amazing grip in cold conditions including when the road is wet and even in the morning when the temperatures are still chilling. On my previous summer tyres, I would lose grip until the rubber warmed up; but these MS77s grip the road from the moment you start driving. Other cars have been seen slipping and sliding when entering the road, but these have done so well. The road noise is not annoying although I will say that it is noticeable on uneven and bumpy roads. I really have not had the chance to try them out on roads with snow or ice. I'm sure they will do better than summer tyres will.
